Services & community in Woodville

 

Woodville is a small friendly community. There are many clubs, organisations and community groups that the locals enjoy and always welcome new members. Woodville School, which is located  in town was established in 1878  and one of the classrooms is the oldest building still currently used as a classroom in New Zealand.  There are two other Primary Schools in the Woodville district, Kumeroa/Hopelands and Papatawa.  For the early childhood years, Woodville Playcentre has been doing wonderful work for over 50yrs and there is also a Kohanga Reo.  Service groups for every age group as well – Guides & Pippins through to Lions & Rotary, RSA and Old Folks Assn.  Woodville is a thriving town and one that extends a warm welcome.
